Conferences are torture, for everyone!!
High cost of time and treasure. Mediocre value creation
If you’ve ever spent hours scrolling 1 by 1 through the list of people “attending” to try to make “connections” like some overpriced yet somehow discount LinkedIn…you know what I mean!
Or been on the receiving end of dozens of people messaging “Let’s meet up!"
Good grief, it’s such a poorly designed system. Designed to extract value, not create it.
The world doesn’t need another conference…
where companies spend tens of thousands of dollars to
“walk the floor”, scanning badges for swag, and the only tangible result is more busy work…
but no idea what value was actually created!
Me…I hate wasting 4-5 days collecting business cards, pretending that I found value in the big “industry” event.
And then batting away all of the lame “Following up after I saw you at the conference” emails from people I didn’t see at the conference!
So, we're launching something different.
Something we think the waste & recycling industry needs but maybe no one else is positioned to do
September 16 & 17
for less than 48 hours
We're gathering people who are tired of surface-level networking and want real, unfiltered connection across every corner of the waste and recycling world
The format is very simple
Afternoon of the 16th, we’ll welcome early arrivals
That night, we’ll host a welcome dinner with no boring ass speeches or rah-rah baloney
Good food, new friends, something fun to compete over
On the 17th, a full day of extremely valuable 1:1 and small group engagement for your benefit
I’m not revealing everything we’re doing…but I can tell you that there will be an optional early morning workout with a special operations veteran Christian Ruf
I will likely puke. I know Charlie will.
That day we’ll have the most value-creating one-day-event you’ve ever participated in.
That’s right, there are no “attendees”
This isn’t passive standing around hoping someone will chat with you
You’re active at Waste Nexus.
We’ll have small group sessions for you to lead or join. We’ll have some presentations from industry experts about topics relevant to you. M&A. Finance. Staffing. Technology.
What’s the format?
Think a cross between a conference and a speed dating session. We want you to spend your time having productive conversations with people you want to speak to.
