Frequently Asked Questions

We've assembled quick answers to the most common questions regarding Discovery

1. Common Questions

Q: Can I trial Discovery before paying?

Given the complexity of each company's unique data, we do not have a free trial at this time. However we would love to show you the system in detail via a live demonstration. Please get in touch with us to get started.

Q: What is a Location?

A location represents a place of business that generates waste or recycling material, and requires service to remove this material. A single location must have an address, and Services have a child-relationship to their parent Location.

Q: What is a Service?

A service represents some agreed upon transaction between two parties - typically the removal of waste or recycling material from a Location by a specific Vendor. If your business provides services to your customer, a Service may also be between your business and your Customer (such as a Rental, Device/Sensor, or Management Service).

2. Invoice Processing

Q: How many invoices can Discovery handle?

Invoice processing scales automatically to handle up to millions of documents per month. If you expect a large spike in documents and priority processing is important to you, please contact us about your unique situation and we can ensure a viable solution.

Q: How does Discovery count Invoices Processed?

We calculate one invoice as a single PDF file that is no more than 3 pages in length, and less than 3 MB in file-size. Processing large volumes of files outside this criteria may result in additional charges. Processing the same document multiple times will result in the same document being counted twice.

Q: How do I get vendor invoices into Discovery?

There are a few options: You are provided a dedicated email address to forward invoices to as attachments. You may also upload files directly inside the Discovery application. Your software developers can upload using our API. Please contact us if you require a legacy integrations (sFTP, etc).

Q: Can I use my own invoice extraction system?

If you have an existing intelligent OCR or suitable alternative, you are able to offload processing of your vendor invoices to that system and load the output of that system into Discovery using our API. Please contact us if you have any further questions.
